The best bet of the greyhound card comes up in the McIvor Road Vet Clinic sprint where Hosting will be looking to continue on her winning way.
Having registered two impressive wins in her past three starts, posting 29.96 at The Meadows and 30.31 at Cranbourne, Hosting looks set to lead form the red alley and will take plenty of catching.
Her main danger, Ourgirl Fab, is drawn immediately on Hosting’s outside, but she is not a reliable beginner and will have to chase the favourite down.
Distance racing is always popular and the fourth event is a quality 660m event headed by talented middle distance performers Crichton Bale and Alpha Triton.
Crichton Bale’s recent form is not an indication of his ability and he will appreciate a drop back in class from recent outings, while Alpha Triton is a recent Sandown 595m winner who was a solid placing at Bendigo last start over 500m and will appreciate being stepped back up to a more suitable distance.
Recent form suggests Alpha Triton has a slight advantage over Crichton Bale, however, both have genuine winning chances.
For the patient punters Ouchamp looks a good way to finish the night in race 12. After posting smart wins at Ballarat and Warragul, Ouchamp had no luck at Sale last start, but had drawn nicely in box two and has the speed to lead and will take catching.
