The Bombers will take on Geelong at the QEO from 4.10pm on Sunday in their final match of the JLT Community Series.
The Essendon squad of 27 – which will be trimmed to 24 for the game – has also been boosted by reigning best and fairest Zach Merrett, as well as David Zaharakis, Mark Baguley, Orazio Fantasia, Patrick Ambrose, former Cat James Kelly and Matt Dea.
The Bombers’ No.1 selection at last year’s National Draft, Andrew McGrath, is in the squad, but there’s no Kobe Mutch, who is in his first year at Essendon from the Bendigo Pioneers.
Cale Hooker (hamstring) hasn’t been named for the Bombers, but Michael Hurley, who injured an ankle against the Gold Coast a fortnight ago, is in the squad.
