And just like last year, they have both qualified for the grand final after beating higher-ranked opponents in Saturday’s semi-finals having ended the home and away season third and fourth.
Dingee shrugged off four losses in a row heading into the finals to defeat what had been an in-form Heathcote by five wickets at Barrack Reserve.
Heathcote was all out for 93 after winning the toss and batting first.
Luke Bell (37) battled valiantly to try to rebuild the innings after Heathcote had been 3-8 early and later 5-30.
Anthony Lawry’s 3-11 were the best bowling figures for Dingee, while his 34 with the bat was also the top score as the Blowies took 34 overs to reach 5-98 and move through to the grand final.
• Goornong upstaged minor premier Raywood with a seven-wicket victory.
After being sent in, Raywood compiled 4-139 off its 40 overs, with skipper Braden Latter finishing unbeaten on 31.
However, the Walruses had few troubles in mowing their target down thanks to 78 from opener Jesse O’Connell.
O’Connell’s knock was the backbone of Goornong’s 3-140 off 36 overs.
Saturday’s grand final will be played at Elmore.
