The 5pm clash at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve marks Bendigo City's first game on home soil in three weeks.
It comes against another winless team, with Richmond anchored to the bottom of the East division with no wins and two draws.
In four games, Bendigo City is yet to hit the scoreboard, conceding 16 goals.
Coach Srecko Baresic remains confident positive things will flow if his young side can manage to grab an early lead.
"I can see the improvement building every week within this team," he said.
Baresic, who boasts significant coaching experience in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and Australia, continues to praise his players determination as the losses have come.
But there is quiet confidence the clash against Richmond represents one of the team's best shots at victory.
City will rely on solid contributions from skipper Lachlan Beever, Samuel Mangelsdorf, Vinicius Branco and Daniel Purdy in the hopes of affecting an upset.
Meanwhile, Bendigo City FC's under-20 team will look to put the disappointment of last weekend's 8-1 loss behind them against Richmond.
Luke Burns was the lone scorer and has all three of Bendigo City's goals scored this season.
Match starts at 3pm.
