The Creators Market will bring together about 40 stallholders, most from Bendigo and all offering handmade goods that will range from baked goods and preserves to children’s toys and jewellery.
“Anything you could imagine, it’ll be there,” organiser Megan Luscombe said.
Ms Luscombe said markets of this sort were becoming increasingly popular because consumers were more careful of where they put their dollar and wanted to support small, homegrown businesses.
She said the market had been established with the purpose of helping small business.
“The whole point of this market is so small businesses have a voice,” Ms Luscombe said.
The market was launched in Melbourne in 2014 and visited Ballarat late last year.
Ms Luscombe said the response to this first foray into regional Victoria had been “fantastic”.
The market will be held in Bendigo Town Hall from 10am to 3pm, with free entry.
