THE organiser of an obstacle run that attracted complaints after participants failed to receive items included in the ticket price has delivered some of the merchandise.
In an email to participants, Outback Obstacles’ Dan Gold apologised the T-shirts, hats, drink bottles and medals were unavailable on the day, February 12, and said they would be delivered to those in the Bendigo area by Sunday, February 19, and those outside the area by Tuesday, February 21.
Some people said on social media they had received the shirt, hat and bottle, but not the medal.
The administrators of a Facebook page for those concerned about the event said they were told the medals would be sent within 10 working days.
But another participant told the Bendigo Advertiser at noon yesterday that she had not received anything and been given no explanation.
Other participants said they had not received their packs as of Tuesday morning.
In the email, Mr Gold also offered Bendigo participants a free ticket to any future Outback Obstacles event in Australia.
But Mr Gold declined to comment when approached by the Bendigo Advertiser on Wednesday.
