Senior constable Matt Beck said the driver of a silver Nissan X-Trail failed to give way to the driver of the Rodeo at the intersection of Rowan and Lily streets at about 3.30pm.
Senior Constable Beck said the X-Trail then bounced off the Rodeo and struck a parked car in Lily Street.
The driver of the Rodeo, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Bendigo Health for observation while the 71-year-old driver of the X-Trail was uninjured.
