Police descended on Bridgewater on Wednesday, seizing a quantity of drugs.
Cannabis and suspected amphetamines were taken from two properties after police searched the addresses about 5pm.
The Melbourne-based dog squad was among the units involved, along with police from Bendigo, Loddon, Castlemaine and Maryborough.
Bridgewater Leading Senior Constable Mick Balazs said the warrants were executed in relation to allegations of drug trafficking.
A man, 48, was arrested and interviewed by police.
Police are making further inquiries about other possible suspects.
Senior Constable Balazs thanked the community for their assistance in the investigation.
He said people were generally quick to report crime in a tight-knit community like Bridgewater.
“Police are part of the community out here,” Senior Constable Balazs said.
