The Australian 54 kilogram champion will meet South Australian title holder Connor Read at the Dom Polski Centre.
It's a bout his trainer Danniel Burton, from the Hit Factory boxing gym in Golden Square, says took plenty of time to organise.
"It has been tough to get a match for him since his Australian title win at last years nationals at the Gold Coast," he said.
"We have relentlessly tried every Australian state to secure a match up but we have finally secured one with South Australia junior champion Connor Read."
Read will be a formidable opponent for Scanlon after his state title win last year.
The South Australian followed up his championship win with nine bouts, for a 7-2 win-loss record.
Scanlon has had just the one bout since his national title
"It will be a real battle to blow out some cobwebs and regather some ring legs ahead of the Victorian State titles on February 19," Burton said.
"Tully has been training hard and working on stepping up to three times three minute rounds as set by the youth under-19 division.
"We never look past the person that is standing in front of us but the ultimate goal for Tully this year is to compete for Australia at the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas later this year.
"It is a big task and we know everyone else will also have this goal but you must set you sights high."
