The Bendigo-Bathurst Drivers Invitational Series was held last week at Bathurst as five drivers from each of the sister clubs pitted their skills against each other over three heats.
Points were allocated for each of the three races, with 10 for first, nine for second, eight for third and so on.
Bathurst held a two-point advantage after two heats, before a Bendigo trifecta in the third handed an 88-77 victory to the visitors.
Individually, the top three drivers on the leaderboard all represented Bendigo – Kate Gath (27) beating out Greg Sugars (24) and Chris Alford (23) after she steered a first, second and third across the three heats.
“It’s great to be here and even better to win the series,” Gath said.
“It’s always good to get a couple of days off working horses at home and drive some other horses.”
