Festivities begin this Saturday 7pm in the Dai Gum Precinct.
Bendigo Chinese Association president Doug Lougoon said the highlight of the evening would be the appearance of flying dragon Fei Loong.
The helium filled dragon would come on stage first and then form the backdrop for an evening of performances from dancers and the BCA’s dragon team.
Mr Lougoon gave special mention to the dragon team, which was flat out with performances and business blessings as Victoria celebrated Chinese New Year.
”The are a small band of people from 12-years-of-age to those aged in their forties and they will only get a few days off over the coming weeks,” he said.
