After reading the disturbing quote, "I took my head out of a noose today mum", Daniel Butterworth began a series of self-portraits, as a means of understanding the struggles of those suffering depression.
Daniel put a call out through his website and on Facebook asking for people living with depression to send him their stories.

Mr Leo Schultz, chief executive officer of Lifeline Central Victoria and Mallee, will present the opening remarks at the launch of When the Black Dog Bites exhibition, this Thursday, January 12, at 6pm.
