A Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning spokesperson said crews started heading home about 10.30pm on Tuesday, when the fire was declared safe.
CFA units continued to patrol the scene at Lintons Lane this morning and will be in the area for the next 24 hours to monitor the situation.
UPDATE, Wednesday 7.40am: Crews are monitoring the scene of a grassfire in Glenhope, which has been declared safe.
Four CFA units are present at Lintons Lane, where a 200 acre grass fire was sparked on Tuesday by a tractor with a slasher.
A CFA spokesperson said the fire was no longer active.
UPDATE, Tuesday 7.45pm: The grassfire on Lintons Lane in Glenhope is now under control.
There is still some minor activity on the flanks of the fire but crews are confident they can keep it contained.
Crews will remain on scene for some time but air support has now been released.
“Trucks will start to leave but crews will be blacking out on scene for some time to come,” a CFA spokeswoman said.
“They will possibly be there overnight and into the morning.”
The fire was started by a tractor with a slasher.
An advice message is still active for the towns of Glenhope, Barfold, Baynton, Redesdale and Sidonia.
The next update is expected at midnight or as the situation changes.
UPDATE, Tuesday 6.45pm: The eastern flank of the fire has been contained but the head of the fire is still active.
Crews were called to a paddock fire at 4.50pm and the fire is still not under control.
The fire is approximately 200 acres in size with two active fronts.
About 36 trucks as well as air support are working hard to contain the fire.
EARLIER: More than 30 CFA units are attending a bushfire in Lintons Lane, Glenhope.
The fire is yet to be controlled and the Victorian Emergency website has issued advice for Barfold, Baynton, Glenhope, Redesdale and Sidonia residents.
Currently, there are no threats to communities but the warning is encouraging people to stay informed and monitor conditions.
The fire is moving in a north-westerly direction towards Glenhope.
A CFA spokeswoman said the large grass and scrub fire has entered a blue gum plantation.
“It looks like the fire is approximately 200 acres and has two active fronts,” she said.
“No property is under threat but CFA crews are having difficulty with accessing the area around the fire.”
The fire is believed to have started in a paddock.
Aircraft support is on its way to the fire.
