Mayor Margaret O’Rourke has appealed for residents to let council know as it develops its 2017-2021 community plan.
“The community plan defines council’s role and guides the services it delivers, the direction it will take and the strategies it will develop,” Cr O’Rourke said.
“It helps council decide where and how to invest your money, which in a rate capping environment is very important.”
Council is also seeking feedback to help shape the 2017-2021 municipal public health and wellbeing plan, which is also in development.
Surveys, available on the council website, have been developed to help residents have their say.
City staff and councillors will also attend events and community meetings from January to March, where residents can have input into the documents.
“It is really important the council understands your priorities for where you live and how it can make your experience of living in Greater Bendigo better for yourself, your family and your friends,” Cr O’Rourke said.
Draft plans will be released later in the year.
