Bowe played in the first of two Border Bash games against the Thunder at Lavington.
The former Sandhurst left-arm leg-spinner took 1-17 off his four overs to have the best economy rate of the Stars’ attack.
He clean bowled Thunder youngster Kerrod White and showed great control in his tight four-over spell.
Bowe’s spell helped the Stars to a 12-run win.
The 19-year-old was rested for the second game of the Border Bash series, which the Thunder won.
Bowe is a supplementary list player for the Stars, but might get an opportunity in the BBL if the team loses some of its high-profile players to international duties.
The Stars first BBL game is on Boxing Day against the Hobart Hurricanes in Hobart.
