A yuletide market on the lawns of Sacred Heart Cathedral will welcome multicultural food, handicrafts and entertainment.
The event will raise funds for the Aspire Foundation, which hopes to build a Faith in the Goldfields precinct on the vacant High Street plot.
The Christmas markets are the follow-up to last year’s Concert on High event.
Chinese lion dancers and Karen community dancers are slated to perform, while the Wine Bank will serve drinks and wood-fired pizzas.
Another highlight of the evening will be musical entertainment from the cathedral’s priest, Father Rob Galea.
City of Greater Bendigo Mayor Margaret O’Rourke, who is also executive director of the Aspire Foundation, is also expected to be in attendance.
If successful, the international-themed market, which runs from 4.30pm to 7pm, could become a monthly fixture in 2017.
