After years with a cream-based colour, the restaurant now boasts a mint green coat of paint making it stand out even more in Pall Mall.
Clogs co-owner Michael van Haandel said the paint job was a twist on the traditional heritage colours.
“It makes us stand out a bit which is what we want,” he said.
“All the greens and blues are listed (heritage colours) and we worked with (council’s) heritage people.”
The extreme makeover is also continuing inside the restaurant.
“There is a fair bit happening inside. We are doing the bathrooms and front section before Christmas, to make it more comfy for diners,” Mr van Haandel said.
“Then we will give it another go in February. After 30 years the place needed a bit of love and people have already commented on the change.”
Clogs first opened in 1974 as “Clogs Pizza Castle”. In 1986 it expanded into the Creek’s Butcher building and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014.
