At 8.54am the Loddon River at Appin South was at 3.01 metres and falling, but was likely to remain above the minor flood level of 2.8 metres into Wednesday.
The river was at 77.38 metres and falling at Kerang, and at that location was also expected to remain above the minor flood level into Wednesday.
The SES has advised people to never walk, ride, drive or play in floodwater, stay away from waterways and stormwater drains during and after heavy rain, and keep clear of fallen power lines.
