The Storm were silver tier winners of the Fox Footy Club Rewards Program – an initiative driven to support grassroots sport and recognise the benefits football clubs deliver to their local community.
The prize included the chance to sit in on team and coach meetings, observe training, tour Melbourne’s AAMI Park facilities and take on the Demons’ coaches in goalkicking challenges.
“Grassroots clubs have an enormous role to play for their local town, so we’re delighted to help reward Strathfieldsaye for their community support,” Demons coach Paul Roos said.
The Storm were recognised for their efforts in helping to establish the “Walk for Willo” for the club’s late netball operations manager Tracy Wilson, as well as their fundraising for Give Me 5 For Kids.
