The 29-year-old man had been riding with his fiancee through bushland off Guys Hill Road and lost control of the bike and fell about noon.
His partner raised the alarm with paramedics, who attended the scene and SES staff helped carry the man out of bushland.
He was stabilised and taken by ambulance to Strathfieldsaye Recreation Reserve and flown to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne about 2pm.
A spokesperson for the hospital said the man was in a serious but stable condition yesterday afternoon.
