The undefeated Thunder (11-0) will meet the fifth-placed St Kilda Sharks (3-8) at St Kilda’s Peanut Farm Reserve from noon.
Last week’s rest couldn’t have come at a better time for the Thunder following a hard-fought clash in atrocious conditions against Melbourne Uni a fortnight ago that resulted in plenty of sore bodies.
The Thunder and Sharks have already met twice this season, with Bendigo winning both encounters by 24 and 60 points.
The dominance of the Thunder is reflected in that the top three players on the league goalkicking table are all Bendigo players – Isabella Ayre (24), captain Emma Grant (16) and Erin Ross (14).
