Mr Hall said he had been wanting to participate in the charity event for the past five years, after friends of his lost a child to illness.
“It’s been a long process but it’s finally come to the crunch now,” he said.
Mr Quin said his empathy for other parents whose children had fallen ill was also the inspiration for his choice to participate in the event.
“I’ve got four kids, he’s got three kids, you know what it’s like when you’ve got a sick kid and if you’ve got a sick kid and you can’t do anything for them, well that makes it even worse and that’s what the Variety Bash is all about,” he said.
The pair will hold a silent auction at the Bendigo Stadium on July 21 with all proceeds going towards Variety, for more information or to donate search for Variety Bash – Car No. 18 on Facebook.
