Scores of children have taken to the football field and netball courts at MyJet Oval over the past two days as part of Golden Square Football Netball Club's school holiday program.
The initiative, which focuses on footy skills as well as nutrition and healthy lifestyle components, is in its 11th year.
For the first time, netball has been included this year, with about 15 young girls involved.
Bulldogs senior football operations manager Shawn McCormick said the three day program included a series of round-robin matches, with a premiership decider set down for Wednesday.
Young footballers even took part in their own draft on Tuesday.
Evidence of the program's success, McCormick said some of the Bulldogs' current-day stars had been participants in previous years.
"It also employs 10 boys and girls from our footy club for three days," he said.
"But the main focus is seeing participants enjoying themselves using football and netball.
"It's a good community-based activity for our club to be involved in."
Members of the umpiring fraternity and Bulldogs senior players have acted as guest speakers.
All participants receive a showbag containing several items, including a football.
