Bendigo
- Looking for an afternoon out to entertain the children these school holidays? The City of Greater Bendigo are hosting a family fun day in the Mall this Tuesday between 10.30am and 1.30pm. Bring the family along to try out the new S.A.F.E Archery and the Looney Tunes 5 in 1 jumping castle. This is a free family event.
- The City of Greater Bendigo is offering skill development workshops for people aged between 12 and 25 years. Monday, June 27, between 10am to 12noon, a ‘job ready’ workshop will be held at the City of Greater Bendigo offices, Mundy Street, Bendigo. On June 30, between 10am to 3pm, there will be a film making workshop for young women. This will also be held at the City of Greater Bendigo offices. On July 8, between 11am to 2pm, the final workshop will be held for young people interested in learning the basics of printing onto textiles using screen printing. - Visit the Discovery Science and Technology Centre during the school holidays and enjoy their school holiday program. The centre is open seven days a week between 10am and 4pm during the holiday break. Visit the Planetarium and learn about Australia’s role in exploring and measuring the universe. The centre’s Sporting Heroes show honours the upcoming Olympics. There is lots to be learnt and plenty of fun to be had.
Macedon Ranges
- Council’s Youth Engage Program (YEP!) have planned an adventurous program of activities this school holidays for people aged between 12 and 18 years. The activities are designed to unleash their inner chef and art critic. Kicking off on Tuesday, July 5 at 8.15am as the train leaves from Kyneton bound for Melbourne to spend the day exploring the colour, energy and inspiration of the city’s internationally renowned street art scene. The following day on Thursday from 10am, participants will engage in a creative cooking master class with Damian Sandercock from the Piper Street Food Company. There is a cost of $35 to attend either activity or $55 to attend both. Bookings are essential. Click here to visit the website and book a spot.
Campaspe
- Campaspe libraries have a range of events on offer to keep the kids entertained these school holidays. Echuca, Kyabram, Rochester, Rushworth and Tongala are offering a range of activities including story time, craft, rhyme time, movie afternoons and more at a variety of times. VISIT: The library is a great place to visit during the school holidays. The various libraries have some great activities organised.
