The AFR recently reports that the Ichthys LNG Project company has attacked workers for wearing union stickers on their hard hats, saying they could be sacked if they do not remove them.
The right to wear a union badge was won years ago and agreed to by the then Arbitration Court of Australia,
Is this just another ploy to create an industrial dispute before the federal election.?

Loyalty questioned
Mr Daniel Andrews must go. His attitude to the totally highly dedicated volunteers - both women and men - in the Country Fire Brigade is deplorable.
He has undervalued their long hours of work for Victoria which have diminished the risk of injuries.
Victoria's early volunteers made Victoria what it is today: building schools, hospitals, town halls, cemeteries, and kindergartens - long before highly paid professionals. got into the act.
Further history demonstrates that the people of Victoria rightly voted out Jeff Kennett because of his arrogance and failure to listen to the people.
Mr Andrews is on track to suffer the same fate.
The old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it' should encourage Mr Andrews to listen not only to the CFB but also the people of Victoria:.
Please reconsider your decision, talk to the people from the CFB , let them continue their good work - and appreciate their hard efforts.
I've been a member of the ALP for over 50 years, and can tell you I'm not alone in my disappointment with you.

Calling out politicians and media
Have Australians lost the ability to call a spade a spade? Our great trait seems to have been buried beneath piles of political correctness and fear.
As we mourn another atrocious shooting and waste of life, politicians, commentators and journalists are falling over themselves to obscure the fact that the perpetrator in Orlando was an Islamic terrorist. Killing people is hatred not speaking the truth.
The bizarre contradiction by socialists trying to engineer changes in society is that they want everyone to embrace both gay marriage and Islam.
The trouble is, these two are incompatible. The Orlando gunman was not only following his own hatred, any research will reveal that the texts of Islam are against homosexuality enforced by death under Sharia law.
I am surprised that the LGBTI community have not been more outspoken about this when issues of immigration and terrorism have been raised.
Before the wheels fall right off in Australia, and before we vote for those who contradict themselves, can we please have some courageous politicians and journalists who will call a spade a spade, and forget the ridiculous nonsense of political correctness?
