Sandsculpting Australia is touring the country with its exhibit, showing at Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and at the Gold Coast.
The areas it is set up at will be transformed into a life-sized sand zoo with over 270 tonnes of sand carved into life-sized animals.
Attendees can walk the sand pathways to spy elephants, zebras, giraffes and tigers alongside polar bears, pandas, koalas and other animals. Integrated with the sand sculptures is a range of children’s activities including sand art, sand bottles, sand workshops and mask making.
The exhibit has been created by 10 international and Australian sculptors, who followed the theme ‘A Day at the Zoo’.
