The trio were helping promote the upcoming Bendigo Record Comic and Toy Fair on March 13.
The fair is held twice a year after being established in 2014.
Organiser Peter Pascoe said this year was sure to be big with a number of fan groups coming on board.
“We have the newly formed Bendigo Whovians Society coming in with a Tardis and a photo booth,” Mr Pascoe said.
“They will be doing photos with props for a gold coin donation that goes to the CFA.”
Mr Pascoe said other fan groups that would have set ups at the fair included the Bendigo Area Lego Designers, the Bendigo and District Gamers Association and Bendigo Swordcraft.
“There will be demonstrations of Marvel, Dr Who, Star Wars, Ghostbusters Lego. We love bringing those pop culture things together in Lego,” Mr Pascoe said.
“The Bendigo and District Gamers Association will have six tables full of tabletop games and Swordcraft is making first appearance with a booth inside and hopefully a demonstration out the front.”
Last year saw the fair put on a cosplay contest for the first time and popularity with patrons means it will return.
“It raises money for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and is returning bigger and better,” Mr Pascoe said.
“Through the doors we had 1200 people who paid last year and between 500 and 700 kids that we didn’t charge.
“We are aiming for more than 2000 people to keep the fair growing.”
When he founded the event, Mr Pascoe knew it would be popular with regional crowds.
“I knew how popular things like this are in Melbourne and Sydney and how berserk people are about it,” he said.
“I’m pleased with how popular it has become.”
The Bendigo Record, Comics and Toy Fair is on Sunday, March 13 at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds exhibition centre.
Entry is $5 from 10am or $10 for early-bird entry at 9am. Kids aged under 14 and accompanied by a paying adult get in for free.
