UPDATE 12.15pm: Three housemates charged in relation to the death of Kangaroo Flat mother-of-four Samantha Kelly will re-appear in court on June 22.
None of the three applied for bail when appearing via video link in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Monday and all were remanded in custody.
Peter Arthur, 44, was charged with the murder of Ms Kelly with a hammer "on or around January 20".
He remained silent during his brief appearance, where the court heard he suffers from depression and diabetes.
Ronald Lyons, 43, appeared in court charged with being an accessory to murder.
He told the court he "wanted to try to get bail today", but no application was made.
The court heard Lyons also suffers from diabetes.
His wife Christine Lyons, 44, did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody charged with being an accessory to murder.
The court heard Lyons has an intellectual disability which could make her vulnerable in custody.
All three will appear at a committal mention in Bendigo on June 22.
Mr Arthur appeared in an out of sessions hearing in the Bendigo Police Station on Friday night where he was accused of murdering Ms Kelly, 39, with a hammer at the Kangaroo Flat property they shared.
The accused all shared a home with Ms Kelly and cared for her young children after she vanished more than three weeks ago.
The children are now with Ms Kelly's brother in NSW.
EARLIER: The people who shared a home with Bendigo mother Samantha Kelly and cared for her young children after she vanished more than three weeks ago will appear in court today, charged over her murder.
Peter James Arthur appeared in an out of sessions hearing in the Bendigo Police Station on Friday night where he was accused of murdering Ms Kelly, 39, with a hammer at the Kangaroo Flat property they shared.
Mr Arthur has been charged with one count of murder, while his two housemates, Christine Lyons and Ronald Lyons, have each been charged with one count of being an accessory to murder after the fact over an alleged cover up.
All three were remanded in custody to appear in the Bendigo Magistrates Court today, Monday, February 15.
