The show incorporates film and live acting and is about an amateur stuntman and his journey from boy to stuntman.
Director/actor Martin said the show was a stage adaptation of the movie Hot Rod.
“It’s a comedy,” he said.
“It’s sort of an awkward comedy – I get hurt a lot.”
Stuntman! is on at The Capital today and tomorrow at 8pm.
Tickets are $15 and all proceeds go to the Blue Ball Foundation.
The foundation gives education and support to young adult men and raises awareness about testicular cancer – one of the most common forms of cancer in young men aged 18-39.
Martin said Stuntman! had a cast of 10 locals.
“We are not a theatre company,” he said. “The show is performed entirely by locals.
“We’re just a bunch of friends who wanted to put on a show and make some people laugh.”
