Mullens – a maths teacher at Crusoe College – won the prestigious Centre Fire match at the Sydney International Shooting Range, while he was also a member of the Australian squad that won the Centre Fire team event.
Mullens, 28, shot 569 to win the Centre Fire match on Saturday.
The Oceania title came on the back of Mullens winning the Centre Fire title at the Nationals in Adelaide earlier this year.
In the Centre Fire team event, Australia defeated New Zealand 1656 to 1625.
“It was fantastic to be able to represent Australia in the Oceania’s and have a win against the New Zealanders,” Mullens said on Sunday.
The Centre Fire event is shot over 25m.
Mullens will soon turn his attention to qualifying in the 50m Free Pistol for next year’s Olympic Games.
