A MAN will front court on Monday after allegedly going on an armed robbery spree in Bendigo last night.

Police allege the man threatened the attendant of the Williamson Street 24 Hour General Store with a sharpened stick at 12.30am early yesterday morning before fleeing the shop empty handed.

Police arrested the man outside the Market Place just after 1am.
