Perfect spring weather and eight clubs represented in grand finals made for a bumper crowd that paid a gate of $38,500 at Newbridge.
The hosting of the grand final was significant for Newbridge, with it coming four years after the club was devastated by the floods of 2011.
Six clubs celebrated premierships across the three football and six netball grades. Bridgewater was the most successful, claiming the senior-reserves football double, as well as winning the C grade netball.
In winning the senior football against Mitiamo by 56 points – the eighth grand final in the past 10 decided by more than 50 points – Bridgewater equaled Calivil United’s record of six flags in a row.
