Starting this weekend, the region will host four-consecutive Saturdays of grand finals – Loddon Valley this Saturday at Newbridge, Heathcote District on September 12 at Huntly, North Central on September 19 at Wedderburn and culminating with Bendigo on September 26 at the Queen Elizabeth Oval.
“Never before has four leagues co-ordinated so well to ensure that we have a grand final on every weekend in September,” Hamilton said this week.
“This doesn’t just happen by accident and a lot of planning went in to ensure we have this finals bonanza.
“The league boards and staff at the Hub should be congratulated on working together for the good of football and netball.
“This sort of collaboration is unique and indicative of everyone’s desire to improve sport in the region.”
