The Superoos will be chock full of confidence after beating Pyramid Hill by 24 points in last Sunday’s first semi-final to keep their season alive.
The Bears endured a tough day at the hands of Bridgewater last Saturday when they copped a 108-point hiding off the Mean Machine in the second semi-final and didn’t kick a goal after half-time.
Mitiamo has got itself on a roll at the right time of the season, having won its past three games, which includes cut-throat victories over Pyramid Hill and Calivil United the past fortnight.
Harding Medal joint runner-up Dougie Thomas has been the Superoos’ best in both their finals wins, while Michael I’Anson in the ruck and Korey Fulton – who has kicked six and five goals – have also been among Mitiamo’s most prominent.
While the Bears were belted last Saturday, a week earlier they kicked 20 goals in their four-point qualifying final win over Pyramid Hill when they played quality attacking football.
Luke Edwards has battled hard off half-back and in the midfield in both finals for the Bears, who if they win will play in their third-consecutive grand final against the awaiting Bridgewater.
