A five-point victory was achieved after the Braves fought back from a 16-point deficit in the third quarter.
The victory followed Saturday night's one-point loss at home to the Dandenong Rangers.
Stung by consecutive home-court defeats by the narrowest of margins, the Braves were determined to at least halve the weekend's eighth round.
Harvey said some changes to the defensive set-up played a big part in Bendigo's fightback in the third quarter.
The Braves were seven points down at four minutes to play.
Momentum then swung in a big way.
Tony Lewis was on target from the foul-line and then co-captain Chris Hogan connected with a three from a jump shot.
When Michael Vigor's jump shot swished through the net it was 86-all at 2.08 to go.
Another miss by the Spectres was capitalised on by Lewis from the foul-line.
The Braves were up by four when Lewis' jump shot fell.
Both line-ups went to the charity stripe a few times in the last minute, but it was Bendigo which would prevail, 100-95.
"It was a big win today," Harvey said.
"We needed a lot of courage to bounce back from the loss (93-92) to Dandenong.
"We had a lot of key plays at both ends of the court."
Leading scorers for Bendigo were Lewis, 30; Grant Johnson, 21; Vigor, 17; Hogan, 14; and Kevin Probert 12.
The Spectres won the rebounds, 39-31, as Shane McDonald scored a team-high 24 points.
Meanwhile, the Champions IGA Bendigo Lady Braves endured a tough run against two of the SEABL's best teams.
Four of Bendigo's best - Kelly Wilson, Tessa Lavey, Jane Chalmers and Kerryn Harrington - did not take to the court because of varying commitments.
The matches against Dandenong at home and then at Nunawading were a great test for the club's younger players.
In Saturday night's clash with Dandneong, the Lady Braves struck back from a 13-point deficit at half-time to win the third term by a term.
Dandenong clicked to another gear as it won the last quarter, 27-18, and the match, 93-72.
Leading scorers for Bendigo were Stephanie Bairstow, 23; Shelby Britten, 17; and Stacia Robertson, 15.
Nunawading won every quarter on its way to a 79-48 victory on Sunday.
Robertson scored 11 points as Britten, Elise Strachan, 9; and Maddi Wild, 8; fought against the odds.
After next weekend's bye, Bendigo is back home to play Ballarat Miners on June 13 at Bendigo Stadium.
