The club has won its first two games of the Loddon Valley Football Netball League season and head coach Cindy Kusli is pleased with how the team is traveling.
“We are really working well and the new girls back in the team are all doing their job,” she said.
“We got two players back from pregnancy in Abby Hay and Ebony Lawry and our young players have really stepped up.
“Julia Twigg and Ella Hocking have been playing well.”
In the Roos’ first two matches they were able to score more than 40 goals.
Kusli said being consistent and starting well would be a winning formula for Mitiamo’s senior team.
She said the focus against Newbridge, their round three opponents, would be to continue to play four solid quarters of netball.
“This year we have also been mixing up our combinations,” Kusli said.
“It is good to see we are still working well when we swap players around.”
Newbridge will host Mitiamo at Riverside Park at 2.30pm.
In other games, Pyramid Hill hosts reigning premiers Calivil United, Inglewood plays against Bridgewater and Bears Lagoon Serpentine will take on YCW.
Marong has the bye.
