After an evenly fought opening quarter, Bendigo blitzed Ballarat Rush at The Minerdome.
A Bendigo attack led by Tessa Lavey, 22 points; Kerryn Harrington, 21; import Stacia Robertson, 16; and Kelly Wilson 15, could do little wrong.
At one stage Bendigo's lead was out to 43 points.
When the final buzzer sounded the Lady Braves led 83-51.
Victorious coach Jonathan Goodman was rapt with the team's performance.
"There were some concerns in the first quarter, but our persistence and workrate was excellent," Goodman said.
Team-mates with Bendigo Spirit in the WNBL, Lavey and Wilson were inspirational.
"It was great to see Tessa make some big threes.
"Kerryn Harrington showed how important she will be for us this season and Kelly Wilson just kept up racking up points and assists."
Bendigo's defensive efforts meant Ballarat was often rushed into shots.
The only Ballarat player to score double points was Olivia Thompson, 10.
Although she did not score many points, the play of Lady Braves and Spirit guard Jane Chalmers to complete two big steals was a superb example for the team.
Meanwhile, Ballarat Miners scored an 85-75 victory in the men’s clash with Bendigo.
Leading scorers for the Braves were Grant Johnson, 20 points; Tony Lewis, 18; Michael Vigor and Kevin Probert on 12.
Bendigo’s teams are on the road to Albury next Friday.
