Not exactly three things you would expect country music star Troy Cassar-Daley to be talking about, but that's exactly what he did when he spoke to the Bendigo Advertiser this week.
Well, maybe EH Holdens.
Cassar-Daley was in the region on Tuesday promoting his new album, Freedom Ride, which is released this Friday.
He performed on the Today Show in Rosalind Park before chatting to the local media.
"It was just great to be able to be here in Bendigo," he said.
"I love it - the weather's been stunning, architecturally it’s a beautiful place."
On the topic of Bendigo's Brookes Beer, Cassar-Daley said it was "wonderful to sample local stuff".
"If ever I see a local beer on any menu I always have a crack at the one that’s made around the corner to see what it’s like. And it was a really good beer.
"I’m probably going to get a carton of that and put it in my truck when we come through here and take it home to Brisbane - That’s the next plan!"
Cassar-Daley managed to take in a few sights around the city, as well as a short stop in Castlemaine.
"We went there to try and have a steak at a pub there - the Railway Hotel - but it was closed," he said.
"So I was a bit devo’d over that but I’ll get back there.
"I love Castlemaine, it's always good to get through there."
Cassar-Daley is no stranger to Bendigo, having played at The Capital many times.
"I’ve always loved it, always loved the feeling here," he said. "I reckon there’s a bit of a presence in this beautiful old place."
His first show in the theatre made a lasting impression, of which fellow country music singer Sara Storer agrees.
"We felt it the first night we played here and a friend of mine, Sara Storer, came through with me years later," he said.
"She goes, 'Did you get a bit of a cold vibe when you walked past the back door, at the backstage? I think there is a bit of a ghost here'."
The Golden Guitar-winning artist says his fondest memory of Bendigo was his last show at The Capital theatre a few years back.
"People know I’m mad on EH Holdens so they brought along two custom made EHs... and they parked them at the back for us to have a look at," he said. "That’s the sort of thing that makes towns memorable to me."
Cassar-Daley will take to The Capital stage again on May 7.
"We’re doing a real good collection of the songs we’ve had out over the last nine albums but there’ll be a sprinkling of some new stuff," he said.
"But there won’t be a stack of new songs to scare people."
