Six finalists from the local government regions covered by Sports Focus will be among those at the awards ceremony at the All Seasons Hotel in Bendigo.
Key contributors in cricket, netball, football, lawn bowls, hockey have been recognised for their outstanding feats.
The finalists for 2014-15:
Brett Ayres, Rochester and Echuca Football Umpires Association.
A member of the association for 14 years, Ayres has racked up seven seasons as secretary.
The association has grown from 30 members to more than 70 in the past three years.
Marie Scott, Pyramid Hill Football, Netball and Bowling Clubs.
For more than 25 years, Scott has held several administrative roles across numerous clubs in the Pyramid Hill community.
Her initiative has led to many grant and funding applications go towards assisting the clubs she is involved with.
Ian Garsed, Newstead Cricket Club.
Elected vice-president of Newstead at age 16, Garsed has held an executive position the past 16 years and is in seventh year as president.
He worked tirelessly in the development of the recently constructed Newstead Recreation Reserve Pavilion.
Judy Crusell, Maryborough Netball Association.
Player, umpire, coach, committee member are some of the many roles Crusell has held in her 25 years with the association.
Her wealth of experience, patience, guidance and care, are extremely valued in running tournaments, and mentoring umpires.
Kylie Evans, Sandhurst Hockey Club .
After joining the club in 2007, Evans was a committee member the following year.
She was instrumental in developing and implementing initiatives such as the Sandhurst Development Fund and Sandhurst Volunteer Reward and Recognition Program.
Carmen Hemphill, Macedon Ranges Netball.
For at least six years, Hemphill has led a team of volunteers toward providing ‘top class’ facilities and advancing the profile and accessibility of netball in the Macedon Ranges.
A new, $2.54m netball complex has been constructed in New Gisborne for the association.
Hemphill applied for grants, lobbied governments at all three levels, and did more to ensure the project was completed.
