The 2015 initiative will celebrate Australian food and farmers, with a focus around reminding the public of the need to tackle global warming for the sake of the country's farming communities.
Managing director Mike Hirst said the initiative was one that resonated strongly with the bank.
"Across this land, thousands of farmers are grappling with the challenge of global warming while producing the food which we and millions of people around the world depend on," Mr Hirst said.
"For this reason Bendigo Bank is proud to support Earth Hour in 2015 to help rally the nation behind them.
"We believe that creating a strong Australia for the future means championing our farming communities - something we have done for many generations."
The bank will encourage its staff and customers to turn their lights out for one hour on March 28 at 8.30pm.
As part of the sponsorship it will help produce an Earth Hour cookbook, which will be available for purchased from several Bendigo Bank branches in the lead up to March 28.
The book contains 52 recipes teamed with first-hand stories from Australian farmers highlighting the impact global warning is having on their farms and the availability of fresh, homegrown food.
Proceeds from the sale of the books will go to supporting Earth Hour’s work with schools, small businesses and community groups.
The cookbook will be available in select branches for $40.00 from March 1.
Alternatively they can be purchased online at www.earthhour.org.au/cookbook for $49.95 including postage.
Meanwhile, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank will release its interim results for the 2014-15 financial year on Monday at 10am.
The presentation will be broadcast at www.bendigoadelaide.com.au
