The Northern Flames are in need of a major sponsor for the upcoming Bendigo Strathdale Netball Association season.
Despite the club gaining support from the White Hills Take Away shop and the Drovers Arms Goornong Hotel, club president Gill Davey said they still needed financial backing.
“Sponsorship is vital for any club to survive, from paying insurances, hiring the pavilion, paying incorporation fees through to buying netballs, goalpost padding and bibs,” she said.
“Without support in our first season it will be extremely difficult, but we will be persistant.
“There are many young people out there who are choosing not to play netball for a variety of reasons and we want to offer them a different opportunity.”
Davey said someone who shared the vision of young people playing sport was the ideal candidate to back their club.
The club will host a registration day on February 8 at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve between 10am and 12pm.
Jannelle Hobbs will be on hand to run netball activities.
Davey said parents and players were encouraged to come along.
