The money was raised through the club's annual Christmas tree sale at the YMCA stadium in Mundy Street.
Club spokesman Colin Lambie said the cause was one that was close to members' hearts.
"All our members at the moment are men and they're all at an age that health is a concern," he said.
"They still do this work shifting tons of books and Christmas trees so they're a pretty healthy bunch but health is still an issue of course."
Y Services has been raising money for charity through its Christmas tree sale and Easter book sale for 60 years.
So far this year the club has raised more than $20,000 for various charities including $7000 for the CFA for firefighter resuscitation equipment and $4000 for the Smith Family.
The sale continues until 4pm Saturday.
