Acting Sergeant Peter Dyer said disappointingly 45 drivers were nabbed speeding, mainly on 50-60 kilometre limit roads.
“We don’t sprout ‘Wipe off 5’ for the fun of it,” Acting Sergeant Dyer said.
“The speed limit is the maximum speed limit.
“If you are going to go over that limit you will be booked.”
Five motorists have been summoned to appear in court after testing positive for drugs, including methamphetamine and cannabis, while driving.
These included a 60 year-old Flora Hill man who refused a second test after testing positive to a preliminary test when stopped in Long Gully on Friday night.
