UPDATE 9.30pm: A man has been remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates Court tomorrow following today's armed robbery at Eaglehawk BP service station, police say.

UPDATE 1.15pm: Police say the suspect has been caught.
Acting Sergeant Brian Hansen said a man entered the service station on foot holding a chain.
He said the man walked up to the store counter and demanded cash, which the two staff members gave him, then left on foot.
He said the man was caught by police a short time later.
He said the man was apprehended for armed robbery and the Crime Investigations Unit would investigate further.
He said the two staff members were not injured and were "doing pretty well".
EARLIER: THE Eaglehawk BP service station on Peg Leg Road was held up this afternoon.
Bendigo Police Acting Sergeant Brian Hansen said a man threatened staff with a chain about 12.45pm, making demands.
