The Elmore Field Days recognised innovation in farming during its site awards, with Aglive Mobile Solutions' plan for industrial internet use for agriculture taking the cake.
The company received the Technology and Innovation award on Wednesday, using the development of digital technology in recent years to monitor all aspects of farming.
National sales and marketing manager Stewart McConachy said the technology would develop in three stages, with Stage 1 now complete.
"The idea is to develop a traceable model for all agricultural produce," he said.
"If you go to vaccinate an animal, you can calibrate the dose rate. It can also design a system to monitor the spraying of chemicals, developing a plume cloud using all available data to see where the chemical is applied.
"We're also working with grain companies to be able to monitor grain from the paddock right through the supply chain, identifying the grain to within two metres of its final destination."
Aglive would work with Deakin University to further the develop produce-tracking technology.
