The Leadbeater's possum was discovered in the 1860s in Gippsland and was declared one of Victoria's fauna emblems in the 1970s.
The mammal is listed as critically endangered in the Action Plan for Australian Mammals.
The Rotary Club of Bendigo South, Bendigo-Sandhurst and Next Generation are hosting a raffle, with a portion of money raised going to the Friends of Leadbeater's Possum.
The raffle's first prize is an artwork by central Victorian artist Marion Gould.
"I hope it makes a mint," Mrs Gould said.
Rotary Club of Bendigo South member Lindsay Jackson said the clubs were passionate about supporting such an important cause.
"We are happy to support this cause," she said.
The raffle will be drawn on December 18.
People wishing to purchase a ticket should contact Mr Jackson on 0418 132 968.
