Adam Alexis Ross appeared at Bendigo Magistrates Court on Monday via videolink from the Bendigo police cells.
Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged Ross with two counts of aggravated burglary following the Golden Square incident overnight on Sunday.
He is also facing charges of intentionally causing injury, unlawful assault and unlawful assault with a weapon.
The court heard Ross was unable to make an application for bail due to time restrictions. Magistrate David Faram adjourned the matter to Tuesday and remanded Ross in custody.
