Included was a passionate group of devotees who gathered before the game at the nearby Rifle Brigade Hotel for lunch.
Clad in navy blue and white – some brandishing streamers - there was no mistaking their allegiance.
Their faith was later rewarded with the Storm marching to the first BFL premiership in its six year history.
Marnie Day, a Storm supporter since the club’s formation, summed the mood of all club supporters there on Saturday.
She grand final day was a huge deal for the club and community, ahead of predicting a Storm win.
"The result is not in question - this is the year - 2014," she said.
"A win will be a reward for all the hard work that the club has put in over the years.
"We're proud win, lose or draw, they've worked their butts off to get where they are."
Jenny Jennings said the club's second straight grand final appearance had galvanised the community.
