Spanish teacher Edith Mendoza Munoz, originally from Mexico, is excited to share her native language with anyone keen to learn.
Ms Mendoza Munoz said she wanted to involve native Spanish speakers and beginners in her classes.
"It doesn't matter if you don't know anything at all or if you have some knowledge," she said.
She said she wanted her classes to be different from what people might have encountered in foreign language learning before.
"The idea is that they train their ear to listen to Spanish."
Ms Mendoza Munoz said conversation, music and culture would be a big part of her classes.
"I want people to walk out of class with the feeling they are really learning something," she said.
She said classes would not be full of grammar and book work, but would be primarily about making people able to communicate.
"If they are going to travel overseas, they need feel more confident at least to ask where the toilet is.
"We want people to really speak Spanish, that is our main idea."
LCMS executive officer Noemi Cummings said she had often been asked about starting Spanish lessons.
"In the future we will look at other language options, as we see this as a vital service for promoting multiculturalism and supporting locals to immerse themselves in another culture,” Ms Cummings said.
