Hockey stars from across Victoria and some from South Australia and Tasmania will compete in the tournament.
"Several of the players in the tournament have been selected to play for Victoria-Tasmania and South Australian state teams, so they will be using this tournament as a warm up for their titles later this year," event organiser Ben Janssen said.
"Some of the players coming to Bendigo have also represented Australia."
Janssen said there would be five divisions in the tournament, with two Bendigo teams in each division.
"Bendigo is in with a chance in all divisons," he said.
"The South Australian team is called the Vikings, it will be the second year they have competed in Bendigo."
The Invitational Cup will be held at The Zone in East Bendigo between September 12 and 14.
Entry for spectators to the games is free.
